Stories to Tell: Jason

Tell Us A Bit About Yourself

Hi, my name is Jason! I’m a recent grad from the University of Toronto. If you’ve been to anything like Luke 10:2 or Friday morning prayer, you’ve probably seen me around.

What was a favourite moment or memory of your summer?

I’ve done a lot of fun things this summer so I’ll have to list a few: kayaking by harbourfront, visiting friends in Ottawa, a church BBQ, treetop trekking, a couple weddings, and a visit to the CNE!

What did it look like for you to live missionally this summer? How do you practically practice this?

One challenge coming out of university has been figuring out what it’ll look like to serve God outside of university. During my undergrad, I was involved with campus ministry but over this summer it has looked different in terms of serving. I’ve been helping out at church, intentionally meeting with individuals, and of course, being involved in Missions Hub initiatives like Luke 10:2!

How have you seen God at work this summer in your life / community / this world?

Over this summer, it’s been really cool to see God answer prayers on transitioning from student life to working life. He’s shown me revelations from His word about my life: (INSERT MY BLOG LINK HERE NO SHAME PLUG https://jasonreadsthebible.home.blog/). He’s provided a community in the form of many many friendships and through the church. He’s offered discernment in where he is calling me. And He’s offered me so many opportunities in serving, in pursuit of him, and in leading others to him as well.

As summer comes to an end, what are you hopeful for moving forward?

Just continued discernment in where He’s calling me next along with humility and an open heart to whatever He is asking of and teaching me!
